As the Year Comes to a Close…
…let me just say what an honour and a privilege it is to be your pastor!
This job, like any, is not without its headaches and frustrations; however, seeing so many of you are growing in your faith, watching and participating in us making big decisions together as a church family, walking with and talking with you, fellowshipping and learning with you as we lean into prayer, God’s word, and being disciples of Christ together makes me so proud of you, and so grateful that God has called me to be your pastor “for such a time as this”! (Esther 4:14).
As we all enter into all that Christmas holds for us this year, and start afresh in 2026, my prayer is that we sense that we are held by our Saviour, and can be still and know that He is God. May we remember and recognize that He knows all that 2025 has brought us, and all that lies ahead for us in 2026. He walks with us through all of it, and even when we face surprises and uncertainties, He already knows what lies ahead… and is with us through it all.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Love and Blessings,
Pastor Ruth

Devotional Resources
Remember the devotional that Shawn mentioned the other week – Lectio 365? you can download it on Google play here, or in the Apple App store here.
The devotional I’ve really enjoyed listening to recently has been Glorify.
It’s available on Google play here, and in the Apple App store here.
Finally (for this set of resources), I’ve mentioned to some of you praying the Examen to end your day (it’s a contemplative prayer recalling different moments in the day and giving them over to God). It’s available on Apple Podcasts here or Spotify here,
